I've been responsible for the design of the UK brochures for Hyundai since early 2013. From the beginning I was involved in the whole process, from planing the design and photo shoots, thought to delivery of images and files to print.
Over the launch of 25 different models I worked with assets provided by Hyundai or produced in photo shoots — where I briefed scouters, selected and was present on locations, and managed retouchers and CGI artists.
During this period I've also been responsible for keeping the standard of all imagery, delivering consistent quality to client and agencies, as well as making sure all print production was precise and faultless. I was also involved in art directing three short videos that were done as a behind the scenes exercise whilst on location.
Throughout this time the brochure design has been updated 3 times, following constant feedback from Hyundai, and also updates on the global brand guidelines, which required adapting layouts and typographic styles.
